He is a DJ from France who also produces house music. David is a songwriter, DJ and a singer. He is into hip house, house and electro house music genre. He is associated with record labels like Positiva, Astralwerks and Virgin/EMI Music France.
History:
David became a DJ at the age of Seventeen and he started his DJ career in Paris through Broad Club. In collaboration with a French rap artist he released a hip-hop collection called ‘Nation Rap’. In 1994 he released his second single ‘Up & Away’ which was a semi-hit. In the same year he started managing a nightclub called ‘Le Palace’ and he started organizing parties in the club and other places too.
‘Just a Little More’ was his first album which was released in 2001. David Guetta is married and has 2 children. ‘Guetta Blaster’ was his second album which came out in 2004. In 2006, he was nominated for DJ Award in ‘Best House DJ’ category.
His third album was ‘Pop Life’ which was released in 2007. In 2007, he won DJ award for ‘Best Ibiza Night’ and ‘Best International DJ’. In the same year he won World Music award for ‘World’s Best Selling DJ’. In 2007, he was also nominated for TMF Award in ‘Best Dance Act’ category.
In 2008, he won DJ Award for ‘Best House DJ’, he was also nominated for MTV Europe Music Award in ‘Best French Act’ category.
David came with his fourth album ‘One Love’ in 2009. In 2009 he was placed 3rd in DJ magazines Top 100 DJ list. In 2009, he was nominated for DJ Award in ‘Best House DJ’ category. There were 3 hit singles “Sexy Bitch”, “When Love Takes Over” and “Gettin’ Over You” in the 2009 album ‘One Love’. All 3 were at the no.1 position in UK while ‘Sexy Bitch’ was in US top five. “Memories” another hit single was in the top 5 of all the music charts across the globe.
David Guetta re-released his fourth album ‘One Love’ as ‘One more Love’ in 2010. In 2010, he won Grammy Award for ‘Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical’. In the same year he won World Music Award for ‘Best DJ’, ‘Best Selling French artist’ and ‘Best Producer’. He also won NRJ Music Award for ‘International Album of the Year’.

In 2010, he was also nominated for Grammy Award in ‘Record of the Year’, ‘Best Dance Recording‘ and ’Best Electronic/Dance Album‘ categories. In 2010 he was placed 2nd in DJ magazines Top 100 DJ list.
In 2011, David Guetta is going to release his fifth studio album. In 2011, he again won Grammy Award for ‘Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical’.
He has sold almost Fifteen million singles and more then 3 million albums all over the globe which has increased his popularity by many folds. He has worked with various well known hip-hop and pop artists like Madonna, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, Kelly Rowland, Taio Cruz, Lil’ Wayne, Akon, will.i.am, Chris Willis, Flo Rida, Fergie, Nicki Minaj, Greyson Chance, The Black Eyed Peas and Jennifer Lopez.
